“Behavioral issues in children with autism are often caused by medical illness, which requires medical evaluation. Yet, those behaviors often prevent simple transportation to medical evaluations.”

NEWS & EVENTS

Inaugural Flight

After much hard work. Autism Escapes literally got off the ground on May 15, 2009. Accompanied by a behavioralist and a physician, two New Jersey patients with autism flew on a private aircraft, generously donated by FTCFBO from Morristown Municipal Airport in NJ and arrived at Hanscom Air field in Massachusetts less than an hour later. The families were taken to the MassGeneral LADDERS Clinic where they had the opportunity to meet with autism specialists. The trip was a great success with both families being able to receive the expert medical opinions and suggestions for their children!
